Cecilia

Cecilia De Lucia spent many years working as an art director and marketing manager across industries like tourism, fashion, and energy. But at 40, she made the bold decision to leave the corporate world behind and fully embrace her artistic passion—calligrams. This shift allowed her to reconnect with her creative roots and express herself in a truly unique way.

Fascinated by both drawing and handwriting, Cecilia has always believed that handwriting reveals something personal and intimate about each individual. It evolves over time, making every stroke and letter unique. This philosophy forms the foundation of her work.

In her Wordlines project, Cecilia brings together words and images in a striking fusion. Song lyrics, poetry, and literary texts are transformed into intricate portraits of the authors themselves. By merging words and visual art, she creates a dialogue between the two, allowing the text to shape the image and vice versa.

Her work pays homage to iconic figures in music, art, and history by capturing their essence through the words that defined them. Each portrait is not just an image but a narrative in itself.

Cecilia also offers personalized portraits, blending the power of meaningful words with the beauty of visual expression.

In short, Cecilia creates art where words become images, and images tell a story.
